David serves on the executive leadership team for the economic mobility and resilience strategic priority. He is an executive co-sponsor of the Working Families Employee Resource Network and an adviser to the executive leadership committee.

David is a past president of the National Association for Business Economics. He is also a member of the advisory council of the Global Interdependence Center and its College of Central Bankers and a member of the National Business Economics Issues Council. He has published research in several professional journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal.
