Join us as we hear from a business owner who sold his company to Private Equity Investors. We will walk through the three stages this owner experienced; stages likely relatable to many of our business owner clients.

Pre-Op:

As the 2nd generation leader of a 40-year-old contract packaging business, Jason Blinkoff spearheaded the company’s strategic expansion from New Jersey to Charleston, South Carolina in 2015. He’ll share why SC and the port in Charleston was so appealing and how his company was the first to attack the market there. Business was strong and the strategic move was working. Why consider a sale? Who would carry on the legacy his family had built?

The Op:

Private Equity investors showed great interest in the company, but was the transaction as smooth as they promised? Were they as flexible as originally advertised? Did the transaction almost die on the operating table?

Post-Op

From owner to employee, how has Jason’s professional life changed now? Have the changes been an enhancement or drag to the original strategic direction?
