The New Jersey chapter is growing and welcoming professional advisors who help business owners plan for a successful exit. As we continue to follow a case study approach addressing all of the various considerations associated with a successful exit, we welcome your attendance at our next meeting. Our ‘client’ is a partnership that wants to position itself for an exit in two to three years. As with most companies, there are some issues that need to be resolved to make the transition, and ultimate exit, a success.

For our owners, if we do approach the final stages of a sale, what complications can be expected and what can be avoided. What expectation of the sale process can our owners have and what should they be prepared for? Although all processes are unique, there are some common issues that can be avoided to prevent delays or ultimate failure in closing the sale.

Scott Yoder is the Vice President of MidCap Advisors with over 25 years of expertise in merger and acquisitions, value enhancement, strategic succession and exit planning for middle market companies. Scott will lead the discussion raising many of these issues and ideas on how to manage through them, for both the advisors and the owners. Scott leads MidCap’s Ownership Transition services where he specializes on value growth and divesture strategies for owners of closely held companies. He collaborates with ownership, their families, and their advisors to develop and implement strategies that maximize wealth upon transfer in accord with overall ownership objectives.
