Brian Briggs, President of TIC Gums, Inc., shares his experiences guiding this 3rd Generation, Family-Owned, Baltimore business through its $400 Million sale to Ingredion.

Originally hired as the CFO of TIC in 2014, Brian served on the Board of Directors and as COO prior to being named President in 2016. Mr. Briggs will discuss preparing TIC for an acquisition, the sale process, and post-sale integration.

Mr. Briggs has over 25 years of financial and operations experience in profitably building companies in both the public and private equity sectors, with a focus on operational excellence and M&A activity.

Prior to TIC, Brian was the CFO of Cyren and worked with Sterling Capital Partners as EVP and CFO of portfolio company, SecureNet. Brian served for twelve years as EVP and CFO of Custom Direct, Inc., leading the company through a series of acquisitions and an eventual IPO. During that period, he was instrumental in building EZShield, Inc., a subsidiary of Custom Direct.
