It is both an art and science, as valuation conclusions rely on numerous assumptions and parameters, many of which are subjective in nature. It is important to understand the purpose of a valuation and the key factors and attributes driving value.

Our Speaker:
Diana Hopkins, Director at BDO
Diana is a Director in BDO’s Valuation and Business Analytics practice, leading the NY Business Valuation team. She has significant experience performing valuations for public and private clients, for a variety of purposes including M&A, financial reporting and tax planning, management planning, litigation and dispute advisory. She has valued business enterprises, intangible assets, debt and equity securities.
Prior to joining BDO, Ms. Hopkins held positions with Grant Thornton LLP, Huron Consulting Group and Amplify, a subsidiary of News Corporation. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University at Albany and is Chartered Financial Analyst.
