XPX DC Metro (Hybrid Meeting): I Wish There Had Been a Plan

As Exit Planning advisors we continually emphasize the need for planning and the consequences of not having a plan. Tracey Sachs’ father was an entrepreneur who developed several business enterprises while she and her brother built their own careers. He passed away unexpectedly with minimal succession planning, leaving Tracey and her brother as “instant” business partners in an enterprise with little guidance, experience or instruction. Needless to say, the experience has been challenging on numerous levels, and they don’t have it all figured out.

Please join us for a “real life case study” as Tracey shares her story of the challenges of being the “accidental entrepreneur” and allows us to learn from her experience.

Tracey Sachs

Tracey L. Sachs began her career teaching health education at Damascus High School in Montgomery County, received her master’s degree and taught at The University of Maryland and Montgomery college. She spent several years in pharmaceutical sales, and recently decided to follow her dream of opening a retail store called Sachs’. From home goods to hot pepper jelly, Sachs’ provides personalized service to help clients with all their gifting needs. She has recently returned to teaching again at Churchill High School. She became an “instant partner” with her brother when her father passed away in 2019, leaving them to run a commercial property in Florida, ownership of Fat Boy’s Restaurant in Crofton, MD and a 13 unit apartment building in Georgetown.
