XPX Austin: M&A Insights from Austin Entrepreneurs

We are excited to announce the panelists for our next event, December 6th. Please arrive at 11:30 sharp so we have plenty of time to hear from two seasoned Entrepreneurs, discussing their experience with an exit (or attempt) of their business.

As everyone in this group knows, selling their business(es) is often the biggest moment in an entrepreneur's career. And the moment when key advisers can make the biggest difference. Our aim with this panel is to highlight the pain points and personal experience of two such entrepreneurs so we as advisors can broaden our understanding of the challenges they face.

Our two impressive panelists and their bios are listed below.

Mark D’Agostino, is president and founder of ConnectedHR, a professional services firm that delivers high-caliber, right-sized human resources support and strategy. Since its founding in 2014, ConnectedHR has become one of the fastest growing Human Resources consulting companies specializing in Fractional HR™ Professionals, HR consulting, and Professional Recruiting Services with offices in Cleveland, Ohio and Austin, TX.

An experienced entrepreneur, in 2001 D’Agostino founded Trifecta Business Products, Inc. which he grew to three locations and 50+ employees before selling the business in 2011. Next, he co-founded a staffing and recruitment start-up and served as its president for two years. He then founded ConnectedHR to provide the high-quality yet cost-effective HR support and strategy he realized was essential for growing businesses to navigate steep growth curves.

Stephen Stearman, Co-founder of Elevate Holistics, a company on a mission to provide people the most convenient way to visit with a cannabis certified doctor. We built our business with two stakeholders in mind: patients and doctors. Patients can book online, fill out forms online, and see the doctor all in 30-minutes while doctors are able to see 6-10 patients an hour with no paperwork. He is also Co-Founder of Craft Medical, an online men’s clinic focused on finding the right supplements to help men get back to their younger, more energetic selves.

Stephen says most people would call him an outside-the-box entrepreneur. Generosity, love, compassion, courage, and vulnerability drive and inspire him. The team has access to mindset coaching, therapy, and naturopath services. And he believes that growth and emotional intelligence are crucial to the human experience.
