Realizing his true interest in the field of growing businesses, he shifted to starting to work with companies looking to accelerate their growth. Over the last 6 years James has managed over $250MM in client transactions, advising over 50 companies in securing alternative capital solutions for their companies. Today James is charged with leading development & execution of the firm's vision, driving growth in overall sales & business development.

Courtney Barker is a Managing Director ​in the Emerging Growth & Regional Coverage investment banking team. In her current role, Courtney works with companies across a variety of industries in the Greater Boston area to help raise public equity (IPOs, Follow-Ons, PIPEs, Converts), public debt, private capital (late stage growth and private equity), as well as help execute on M&A strategies. Her clients include c-suite executives and board of directors of public and private companies across industries such as Software, Internet, Life Sciences, Healthcare IT, MedTech, Tools & Diagnostics, Consumer & Retail, and Industrials. Courtney joined the EGRC team in 2019.
