Lamar Stanley – GenCap America
Mr. Stanley joined Gen Cap in 2016. Previously, Mr. Stanley was with Diversified Trust Company, a Nashville-based wealth management firm where Mr. Stanley worked in their private-equity strategy group. Prior to Diversified Trust Company, Mr. Stanley served as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Navy. He holds a B.A. degree from The University of the South, in Sewanee, TN and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.
Eric Mauer, Principal – Prospect Partners
Erik Maurer is a Principal of Prospect Partners. He is a veteran lower-middle-market investor with more than 20 years of experience investing in small companies across a broad range of niche manufacturing, distribution, and specialty service markets. As a Principal of Prospect Partners, Mr. Maurer is involved in all aspects of investment sourcing, execution, and management. He serves as Chairman of many of the firm’s current portfolio companies, including Bland Landscaping Company, Inc., Cyclonaire Holding Corporation, Landmark Irrigation Holding Services, Inc. and Wedgewood Hospitality Group, Inc. He is also a Director of Pro Clip Holdings, LLC.
In addition, Mr. Maurer was previously Chairman or a Director of more than a dozen of Prospect Partners’ former investment holdings.
Prior to joining Prospect Partners in 1998, Mr. Maurer was a Commercial Banking Officer at Northern Trust Company, where he focused on making loans to middle-market companies.
Mr. Maurer earned a B.A. from Stanford University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Ben MacKay, Partner – Evolve Capital
For the past 13 years, Ben has been completing leveraged buyouts of companies in the $1 to $5 MM EBITDA range. He is the founder of Long Trail Holdings (2014) and is a partner of Evolve Capital, Ltd., a Dallas-based private equity firm, focusing primarily on acquisitions of lower middle market companies.
Prior to the LBO world, Ben worked as a collateral asset examiner for Wells Fargo Business Credit focusing on loans of $25 million and smaller.
Prior to Wells Fargo, Mr. Mackay founded and served as the COO of the Rosebud Group, a real estate investment fund focused on mixed-use commercial properties in emerging western recreational towns.
Ben holds a BA from Colby College and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
