We have often heard that when company leaders step into ownership, the world changes. Matt Maynard joined Therrien Waddell, a commercial construction firm in Gaithersburg in 2004 as a project manager. After 18 years of learning and building the business, this past fall, be became one of the owners of the firm. As a “second generation” owner, he is experiencing first-hand the changes and challenges that go along with the responsibility of being an owner. Please join us for a conversation with Matt, as he invites us in to his journey.

This meeting will be a hybrid meeting – you may attend in person or via Zoom!

35 years ago, Jerry Therrien and Donnie Waddell began to provide construction planning and management services to bring clients’ visions to reality. The TW team brings 154 years of experience to serve multiple industries in a wide variety of disciplines.

Matt joined TW as a Superintendent in 2004, grew into a project management role and gradually worked his way up to VP of Operations, where he led the company’s estimating and project management teams. Matt now serves as President, having succeeded TW’s founders, Jerry Therrien and Donnie Waddell, who retired earlier this year.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending as much time with as possible with his wife, daughter and their two dogs in Herndon, VA.
