XPX Atlanta - Quality of Revenue: How to understand and optimize the most important thing a buyer looks at (In-Person Only)

Event Information

As an XPX advisor you probably know all about Q of E, or Quality of Earnings: the audit of how accurate and reliable are the earnings upon which the seller is basing the value of his or her company.

There’s a key component of value from a business buyer perspective that’s equally, perhaps more, important than Q of E. We’ll call it Q of R: Quality of Revenue. It’s one of the first and most important things a buyer evaluates – framed by 2 key questions:

  • How does this business generate revenue?
  • How would that revenue continue under this new ownership?

Quality of Revenue is a key value component a buyer seeks to understand about a company, therefore XPX advisors and their owner clients need to understand it, too.

In our June XPX Program – Part 5 of our 2023 Program theme about the importance of looking at your client’s business from the buyer perspective – we’ll share and discuss the How To’s of Quality of Revenue:

  • How to understand Quality of Revenue
  • How to open up the right conversations about it
  • How to optimize it for sale, if there are issues
  • Why it’s critical to address well in advance of sale!
