XPX Triangle Lunch & Learn: Navigating to a Successful Internal Business Ownership Transition
For many privately held businesses, the next owner may already be inside the company—but turning that possibility into a successful transition requires careful planning. This Lunch & Learn will help business advisors and business owners understand how to navigate an internal ownership transition — whether to family members, key managers, or existing ownership partners—while preserving business continuity, stakeholder alignment, and long-term enterprise value.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Common internal transition paths and when each may fit.
- How to assess successor readiness and leadership capability.
- Key legal, valuation, financing, and deal-structure considerations.
- Ways to align family members, managers, partners, and exiting owners.
- Practical questions advisors can use to surface risks early and guide planning.
