Last month, we featured a tip designed to help you find and connect with other members through our website. Unfortunately, one member embraced this too enthusiastically and used member emails from the website to send a mass email to many members across the network. We received a number of complaints and questions so we thought we’d clarify a few points:
- But it’s important to remember that we do make it possible for you to publish your email on your member profile. Our standard setting is to make your email visible to other members and then your “How to Contact” box is set to be visible to the public. You have complete control over these settings.
- The best way to see and be seen is to provide high value content through our Owners’ Academy. Sharing your knowledge openly is a great way for people to find and trust you.
