Ryan Mas

Ryan Mas is a licensed CPA and Senior Manager in Cherry Bekaert Advisory, LLC’s transaction tax services group. Ryan primarily focuses on assisting private equity clients, as well as strategic investors, in performing tax due diligence on their potential target investments, assessing historic tax liabilities and areas of risk related to income and non-income tax. Ryan also spends time in other areas, including tax planning for potential exit transactions for sellers, transaction cost analysis’, section 382 studies, section 280G studies, section 1202 analysis and planning, transaction tax structuring and related reorganization planning, and tax compliance assistance for companies undergoing transactions.

Cynthia Romano has more than 25 years of experience in performance improvement, turnaround management, transaction support, and investment analysis. Cynthia’s areas of expertise include liquidity management, profit improvement through operational restructuring, organizational and process redesign, capital sourcing, and business and creditor workout/management. Cynthia’s work adds significant value to middle- and upper-middle market companies nationally and internationally in various industries including healthcare, manufacturing, education, technology, security, distribution, professional services and not-for-profit.

John Majer

John Majer provides advisory services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies including due diligence investigations, pre and post transaction planning, tax consulting, and tax compliance. He has extensive tax experience with publicly held and privately held corporations in the business services, healthcare, industrial and consumer product industries. Before joining RSM, John spent fourteen years of his professional career with a Big Four accounting firm.
