XPX Dallas: Strategic Lessons from a Global Leader on Strategy

We’re excited to kick off our XPX Dallas 2024/2025 year with an amazing opportunity to hear Usman Ghani speak on global strategy from his work in the Boardroom with Fortune 50 companies to the Global 5000. He is a recognized expert in entrepreneurship and M&A. He has served in senior positions at MIT (he holds three Master’s degrees from the prestigious university in Management of Technology, Business Administration, and Policy Planning from the Harvard/MIT joint program) and McKinsey (as a global practice leader on strategy), especially in helping small-to-medium companies in growth and development. He has reviewed strategies for better corporate positioning and takes a strategy-approach rather than technical-financial approach. He has traveled on all 6 continents critiquing strategies for success. He will share a few stories of success and also provide some pointers to ward off failures. Usman Ghani is a widely respected consulting executive, distinguished by his record of developing powerful governmental policies and business strategies for a variety of industry leaders, including McKinsey & Company, Royal Dutch/Shell Group, Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Hewlett Packard/EDS.  He pioneered the concepts of Governance Dynamics, Meeting Metaphors, and Multi-Firm Supply Chains, published as chapters in prominent publications and adopted by futuristic leaders.  As Chairman of ConfluCore, Usman has continually developed winning strategic agendas for a variety of organizations and his pioneering SIGOMO® strategy approach is serving leaders across 6 continents.
