James is involved in all aspects of the firm’s activities, is Co-Chair of the Investment Committee and serves as Chairman or Director of Pyramid Healthcare, Pediatric Healthchoice, Derby Building Products, Advanced Medical Personnel Services, Controlled Products and Community Medical Services. James earned a BSE in Civil Engineering, cum laude, from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School. He is active in Princeton University alumni affairs where he serves on the Advisory Council for the department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering and is past Chair of the Alumni Council Committee on Careers. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of St. Luke’s School, a secular, independent day school in New Canaan, CT.
Doni Perl, Vice Preseident Charter Oak Equity Partners
Doni joined Charter Oak Equity in 2017. Prior to Charter Oak Equity, Doni spent four years at Quadrangle Group, where he focused on investments in the communications and media sectors, and two years with Sanabe & Associates, an investment banking boutique providing M&A, restructuring and strategic advice to companies in the building products, paper/packaging and renewable energy industries. He has served on the board of directors of Hargray Holdings and TowerVision Group. Doni received a B.S., summa cum laude, in Marketing and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
