Health – Plan to Keep It

Owner Health – Plan to Keep It

George was healthy, leading his business, and feeling like he had reached his goals.

He went to the gym, watched what he ate, and enjoyed time with his wife and grown children, and was anticipating grandchildren in the next few years.

He reached the point where he was ready to sell the business.

Financial goals had finally been met, the business was ready for sale.

He started gathering the team of experts to guide him and his business through an exit.

Then he found himself running the business by day and preparing for the exit by night.

  • He started missing gym days
  • The stress mounted but he just ignored it
  • He was spending more time at his desk
  • He was facing deadlines so sleeping less
  • He was outside his comfort zone
  • The demands were constant
  • He was not at a point to share the plan with his team, so he tried to hide it

But he thought it was ok since he will focus on his health and family again once the business is sold.

Then the day finally comes.  He goes back to the gym and realizes his strength is much less.  He’s gained 14 pounds.  His blood pressure and blood sugar are up.

His wife has gotten involved in other projects and is not as available as he thought she would be.

Then the chest pain hits…

This is all preventable.

Recognize how easy this scenario happens.  Owners can make a plan to keep your health (and your options open) for decades to come.
