Meet Our Panel:

Diana Hopkins, Director – BDO

Diana is a Director in the Valuation and Business Analytics practice, leading the NY Business Valuation team. She has significant experience performing valuations for public and private clients, for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting and tax planning, management planning, bankruptcy and litigation and dispute advisory. She has valued business enterprises, intangible assets and debt and equity securities.

Prior to joining BDO, Ms. Hopkins held positions in advisory practices of Grant Thornton LLP and Huron Consulting Group. She has a B.S. in Business Administration for the State University at Albany and is Chartered Financial Analyst.

Gary Occhipinti, Sr. Business Banking Manager – Capital One 

Gary’s an award-winning business banking executive, who’s well-known for analytics, lending, negotiating and leading change management initiatives on large scale projects.

Gary graduated w/ a bachelor’s in Marketing and Psychology. He attained his MBA in Global Business Leadership w/ a concentration in International Trade.

Throughout his career, he’s worked for organizations like Cornish Associates, Collette Operators and JPMorgan. He’s held titles including: Area Manager, Director of Leasing/Sales, Product Manager & National Sales Manager.

Gary is currently a Sr. Business Banking Manger at Capital One, where he advises clients on way to increase cashflow, maximize profitability and streamline their day-to-day operations.

Jill T. Braunstein, Corporate & Securities Attorney – Morrit Hock & Hamroff LLP

Jill Braunstein is a corporate and securities attorney at Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP. Jill has acted as a trusted business advisor to public and private companies, business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, and private equity funds for over twenty years. She counsels businesses in all stages of growth, commencing from formation to representing them in connection with capital raising transactions, including private equity, debt, and venture capital transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Jill also provides legal advice on a variety of general corporate and commercial matters, including organizational structuring, board advisory and corporate governance, privacy issues, risk management, compensation arrangements, business succession planning, strategic partnerships, and other business matters.


Brandon Richter, Partner – Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners

Brandon C. Richter is a Partner at Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners. He joined the firm in 2010 and has led transactions, overseen portfolio company investments and is a member of the investment and management committees. Brandon currently serves as a director on the boards of Custom Engineered Wheels, GrayMatter and Tanknology. Prior to joining HRCP, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch on deals across a variety of industry verticals. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in the technology division. Brandon received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University.
